Gum problems have seriously affected me when I was twenty five years old. Four times in a year I had been visiting my dentist and periodontist to clean my teeth. I underwent gum surgery and I was only able to get through half of it before quitting because of the agonizing pain. I paid a lot of money attempting to save my teeth and control my periodontal disease, to no avail. My teeth were so loose that I could move them! With the large gap between my front teeth. I absolutely hated to smile.
I again visited my periodontist, they recomend me another surgery to save my gums from more recession. They were also going to do a tetracycline implant. I was told that it was a short-term solution, and they'd have to take out my teeth after that. I also ask my doctor if there was anything else that could be done, as usual the answer was no.
Then, I owned two electric oral irrigators. Both sat unused, under the bathroom sink covered in dust. When I went to bed at night, the last thing I wanted to do was mess around with that contraption and then clean up afterwards. I worked hard, I was tired and I just wanted to hit the hay- period.
My teeth and gums just got worse and worse. After much thought, I discovered who the enemy was – It was ME!
I faced the challenge of overcoming my own inertia. I had to cultivate good habits that would contribute to healthy teeth and gums, but at the same time, not become a slave to the whole process.
Shortly thereafter, I have discovered the solution to stop my gums recession. And within 3 months I have no periodontal pockets. My gums are firmly against my teeth and my teeth are not loose and they do not wiggle.
